Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus vs iPhone Xs Max – The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus is official and it’s time to find out how does it compare to the flagship from Apple. Both the Galaxy S10 Plus and the iPhone Xs Max are pretty large. The S10 Plus is slightly more compact and also weighs less compared to the iPhone XS Max. The S10 Plus has a slightly smaller display 6.4 inches versus 6.5 inches on the iPhone Xs Max. Both devices have minimal bezels with the maximum screen to body ratio. You do have a notch on the iPhone Xs Max whereas the S10 Plus has a punch out for the front-facing cameras. Both phones have the best OLED displays on the market right now.
The new Infinity O Display has vibrant colors with great viewing angles. Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus supports HDR 10. The one thing that you get on the iPhone Xs Max which you don’t get on the S10 Plus is 3D touch. The iPhone Xs Max and the Galaxy S10 Plus are IP68 water and dust resistant. The iPhone Xs Max has a stainless steel frame with glass panels on the front and back. The S10 Plus has an aluminum frame with curved glass panels on the front and back.
The S10 Plus is also available in a couple of ceramic options that look and feel very premium. The iPhone Xs Max has the Apple A12 Bionic chip and the S10 plus comes with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855 processor or with Samsung Exynos 9820. We do have iOS on the iPhone Xs Max and we’ve got Android Pie with Samsung One UI on the S10 Plus.
The iPhone Xs Max comes with 4GB of RAM with 64GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage options. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus comes with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The S10 models with ceramic options offer 512GB. The top of the line S10 models has 1TB of storage with 12GB of RAM. In addition to this, you can use a micro SD card slot to expand your storage by up 512GB.
The iPhone Xs Max has a 12 MP dual camera setup with optical image stabilization (OIS). The primary camera has an F 1.8 aperture and the secondary camera gives you 2 times optical zoom that has an f 2.4 aperture. The Galaxy S10 Plus comes with a triple rear-facing camera setup. The primary camera has a dual aperture at f 1.5, f2.4. The teleporter camera is very similar to the iPhone Xs Max which gives you 2 times optical zoom with an f 2.4 aperture with optical image stabilization (OIS). The third camera on the S10 Plus is a 16MP ultra-wide camera.
Both devices support 4K at 60 FPS. The iPhone Xs Max has a 7MP front-facing camera with an f 2.2 aperture. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus has two front-facing cameras. The primary camera is 10MP with an f 1.9 aperture and an 8MP secondary camera which is for the portrait selfies.
Both devices have stereo speakers. The Galaxy S10 Plus has a 3.5 mm headphone jack. The iPhone Xs Max has FaceID which is accurate, fast, and very secure. The S10 Plus has an ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor. The Samsung Galaxy S10 Plus also has a Heart Rate Sensor, Wi-Fi 6, Reverse Wireless Charging. The iPhone Xs Max has a 3176 mAh battery whereas the S10 Plus has a larger 4100 mAh battery.
The iPhone Xs Max supports fast charging but Apple does not include a fast charger in the box. To enable fast charging on the iPhone you have to buy the fast charger separately. With the S10 Plus, you will get a fast charger out of the box.
The S10 Plus supports fast wireless charging 2.0 which much faster compared to the previous Galaxy phones. The iPhone Xs starts at $999 for the 64GB base model, the iPhone Xs Max starts at $1099 for the base 64GB model. The Samsung Galaxy S10e starts at $749, the Samsung Galaxy S10 starts at $899, and the Samsung Galaxy S10+ starts at $999.
