HBO announces Game of Thrones Season 8 Crypts of Winterfell

HBO has confirmed that Game of Thrones will return on April 14, 2019, for its final season. HBO released the first trailer of Game of Thrones Season 8 showing the Stark family confronting their future. The GOT S8 will be the shortest season, with only six episodes. While the 8th season will only have six episodes, they will be much longer than 1-hour. It appears episodes of GOT S8 will be up to 80 minutes. All the main cast members will return for the final series of Game of Thrones.

David Nutter will be directing episodes one, two and four. Miguel Sapochnik will be directing episodes three and five. Showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff will co-direct the sixth and final episode of the Game of Thrones Season 8. The GOT S8 airs in April 2019 on Sky and NOW TV. The GOT S8 teaser video shows Jon Snow, Sansa, and Arya Stark walk through the crypts of Winterfell. At the end of the hallway, they see their own statues as a frost.
